Roxborough State Park

Covering nearly 4,000 acres, Roxborough State Park is part of Colorado's State Park system and sits southwest of Denver. It's often described as the place where the plains meet the foothills of the Front Range, thanks to its dramatic red sandstone formations. The park is recognized as a National Natural Landmark, a State Natural Area, a National Archaeological District, and an Audubon Important Bird Area. Beyond the striking red rocks, Roxborough also supports a wide variety of wildlife and bird species. Visitors can explore the scenic trails and take in the park’s natural beauty.
